dconf-tools software package provides transitional dummy package, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dconf-tools
dconf-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dconf-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dconf-tools *
You will get with dconf-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
